For the second year, 200 of Al Tafileh children from all villages participated in Al Tafileh Marathon. The marathon aims to improve the athletic skills of children and increase the participation of Al Tafileh children in the various activities that improve their wellbeing.
Children entrepreneurial projects were the fruit of Ruwwad’s winter camp for the year 2019. These projects addressed social and environmental problems and the challenges children witness every day. The carnival served as a safe and fun space for the children to present their ideas and work, and gain the support needed to implement their projects on the ground.
Eighteen experts from different backgrounds enriched the knowledge of Ruwwad’s scholars in the annual mentorship day. One hundred ten youth scholars attended the event and discussed with the mentors the challenges and opportunities in each area of speciality.
Fifty-five new youth scholars were accepted this year (in East Amman, Al Tafileh and Al Beidha) to start their enrichment, education and volunteering journey at Ruwwad.
The graduation of 31 youth scholars concluded their journey at Ruwwad, marking their education and contributions of giving back to the community.
450 children participated in Ruwwad’s different summer camps in East Amman/Jabal Al Natheef, Al Tafileh Governorate (five villages in Tafileh) as well as in Al Beidha Bedouin village, Hwali and Beir Al Dabbaghat.
